Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) Drills

My son, Ronald, is on the USS Mahan (DDG 72). He will be coming home soon. Yayee!
Here are some nifty photos of VBSS (visit, board, search and seizure)drills. I found this article in January and forgot to post it, so I'm posting it now.

According to this article they are operating with the newly formed Combined Task Force (CTF) 151 conducting counter piracy operations but as required remain available to conduct a wider range maritime security operations with CTF 150.

The Combined Task Force 151 is a multinational task force conducting counter piracy operations to detect and deter piracy in and around the Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Red Sea. It was established to create a lawful maritime order and develop security in the maritime environment.

Yeah, that means that they go after the pirates. Arrrghh!
