Her puppies arrived on June third. It was an interesting event because Bash had his home visit for school at the same time.
She has six puppies in a variety of colors. We cannot know for sure the colors of the pups until their eyes open and their nose colors come in. It seems that she has either a silver or a blue female, which is supposed to be rather rare in the chihuahua world. She also has a fawn (if her nose turns black) or a chocolate (if her nose turns liver colored)female. She has a black female, and three males that are all varying shades of chocolate, fawn and black in brindle or sable color patterns.
These colors will change a bit and the patterns will develop. I am excited to see which direction they go!
Abby and Gus are tiny dogs and the puppies weighed 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 ounces the day they arrived. According to the chihuahua growth chart, they will grow to be 2 to 3 1/2 pounds full grown. Those weights are estimates and can vary by a pound in either direction.
